Are online personality tests a sham?

I did some digging and noticed I scored the following personality types INFJ, INTJ, INFP, ISFP and ISFJ. I don't know what's up with this. It's like my results vary according to mood or mindset. The only consistent reading I've got so far is INFJ. Is anyone else in the same boat? I need answers.

Nigga you been flaunting your INFJ for a good minute now and now you have doubt?

It's highly subjective to your mood and or current mindset like you said. While I was in uni, I came out as an engineer... now i'm a diplomat.

It's a lie to get traffic. There have been a similar thread few months ago. The rarest personality seemed to be the most common one (so that you feel good and come back)

:dead: My hope in INFJ is diminishing. Good point. It's hard to capture the complexity of personality in a 15 minute test with a lot of bias. You could be a diplomatic engineer. :eat:

@Lancer I did a couple of them on different sites and its always a different type. Heck even if you do it on the same site at different times in the year your results vary.

@Rambie - they try to make you feel special, they're using the oldest trick in the book - flattery. :tocry:

I've never taken one, but don't you think your opinion of yourself corrupts the results. You choose the answers that reflect the "you" you want to portray to the world. That's why people take these tests, to tell everyone what they got.

This kind of stuff is more fun and more revealing > https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/selectatest.html

I just took the Arab-Muslim one and apparently I have a slight preference for Arabs.

Well I've done the test plenty of times. I have even put my pride to the side and answered the questions wholeheartedly - with the truth. The only problem is my answers are contingent on my state of mind. Sometimes I think mercy takes precedence over justice. And I'm not going to lie I need alone time to recharge, in fact who doesn't? The questions are awfully subjective and binary.

Just took the test about race, and I supposedly have a slight preference for AAs compared to Whites.

I find that hard to believe tbh, I dislike cadaans as much as the next guy but I absolutely despise Adoon Americans.

It turns out that I have a slight preference into light skin people.

I didn't know why I took da sexuality test :? I though it's gona be interesting but nah waste of time

The system links the favorite & unwanted traits in your reference unconsciously and see how well you go when switching sides and categories theme negatively or positively.

Try it

I attempted the racial bias test
Your data suggests:
Your data suggest little to no automatic preference between White people and Black people.
Not entirely sure how accurate it is but it's welcome result. I've accepted the distressing fact that I might be inherently racist to a minor degree a long time ago :|

Implicit Association Tests are in no way the complete truth, but they do offer some insight into the unconscious mind.
