This just shows your ignorance of history. Martin Luther was a mujadid of Christianity. He was a Corrector of Christianity. For hundreds of years, The Catholic Church ruled with a iron-fist and introduced many pagan concepts and incorporated it into the faith. They invented the Papacy as a man-made barrier between man and His Creator; in order concentrate their power, they created sheekada ah "confession", so that only a priest may absolve sins, iyo sheekooyin oo kale oo badan. Martin Luther came up and banged on the Church door and said, in effect: "waxaas oo idil waa ka-kac". Take your dogma, and take your religious bureaucracy and shove it up where the sun don't shine, buu yiri. Martin Luther's only problem was that he didn't go far enough to fix Christianity and rid it of the various false beliefs that crept into it over the centuries. Nevertheless, he is a courageous man and one that I hold in very high respect.

But if you are really interested in protecting Islam, please protect it from the legacy of a man called Ina Abu Sufyaan who started the sunnah of waging wars of bloodshed for qabyaalad and power. Martin Luther absolutely reformed Christianity for the better. My only criticism of him is that he didn't go far enough.

But there is no question that Protestant(all in the name: protesting the shirk of the Catholic Papacy) Christianity is much closer to the divine faith brought by Nabi Ceesaa, compared to the paganistic Roman Catholic Church with all it's pompous ceremonies, rituals, and man-made bureaucracy.

That's why we need to embrace an Islamic Reformation of our own. The essence of Islam is eternal, timeless, and will not change. What does need a Reformation is: our interpretation of Islam and our understanding of islamic culture/dhaqan.
