Starting at 26:57 and the pictures below you see the forested area with the tall skinny trees, does anyone know what it's called and why is the forested area so small?There should be some kind of reforestation campaign to expand it.

The forests used to be larger. The area used to be covered with Juniperus afromontane forests.

Hopefully I'll visit the place while I'm heading to Maydh and Ceerigaabo to meet some relatives this summer.

It's a beautiful place it should be protected from charcoal traders at all cost. I need to head out east to see it when I go visit.
