This is about shisha. I was told now that shisha spots in Seattle are membership only, for example the Medina shisha spot.

Almost all the hookah lounges require first time membership fee of $5, Medina ain't like what it used to be. The ethy owners worship the cadaan customers while neglecting the everyone else. But for a person that is not from the city, I think u will enjoy it.

If u wanna see somalis, either head to burien or go to kings (same block as madina). Stay away from beacon, that place is a cesspool for fobs.

I can't tell them apart anymore unless they speak. They've abandoned the "Tony Hilfiger" turtlenecks and are flashing Gucci watches and fitted caps. There is this arab friend of mine who opened a shiisha spot called VIP LOUNGE there last month. He is very friendly with Somalis and most of his friends are Somalis. You'll should welcome him . I be in Seattle late April insha allah.

The shisha spots here are owned by Arabs who figured out how to make money off of the Somalis by allowing them to do Somali karaoke. Them places are packed.

Some folks be playing Ladu while some talk and the rest of us usually be watching sports.

You can buy a decent shisha pipe for like $50. I never understood the point of paying some arab for the privilege of sitting in a dank, dark smelly room full of loud people and swapping mouth germs. Also, if somalis love shisha so much, why not open up your own places? It's shameful to own a Shisha establisment but not shameful to smoke it?
