Even though it's against our Diin, it still doesn't stop people from being corrupted.
Look at Saudi Kings who spend hundreds of millions of dollars in Paris and London every yr on luxury.

We both agree that Islam doesn't condone corruption but humans are very corrupted by nature. We are not discussing Saudi royals spending their ill-gotten money in Paris or Monaco, but the Somali culture of corruption. We Somalis encourage and support our tribal cousins-uncles-brothers to be in a position of power in Somalia only to make large amounts of money. If a Somali leader doesn't make a couple of millions out of corruption kick-backs during his tenure as leader, then he will be considered as a weak leader. The definition of a strong tribal leaders we support is the most corrupted one who their ill-gained wealth can trickle down to the sub-clan. In conclusion qabiilism and corruption complement one another. Why do we complain of these leaders when we are their defenders?
Somali culture of corruption is no different from any other groups. Ours is based on Qabiil. But in America and in other countries, it's based on Interest groups and have pretty much worse corruption than us.
Corruption has been with society from the beginning of time and you can't just get rid of it. Just like you can't get rid of crime and killings. But you can manage it and punish those who engage in it.
Somalia is multi Qabiil state, and that means if one person from 1 Qabiil engages in corruption to benefit his Qabiil, everyone else would rise up and point it out.
Like checks and balances.
lol Gamer, checks and balances or with AK47's? No one is denying corruption exists in all countries and in all levels of governments, however corruption in Somalia is endemic because it is structured through qabiilism and that is why through cultural design, it is encouraged and flourishes. It is always the other qabiil's leader who is corrupt but not ours, though we expect him to gives us priority to positions of power and enrich us by any means necessary. Hundred's of Americans lawmakers, city administrators and other top officials were convicted of fraud and corruption since 2010 alone, while our own Parliamentarians in Somalia have now coined a word called Mooshin for corruption. We are comparing apples to oranges.
