Change of politics-

Salam folks,
This government and previous ones are mostly made of washed up individuals that do have a limited view of this world. We live in a interest-driven, strategically divided world. Cluster-f$%K mistakes that happens one after the other is just to much to accept anymore and proves that our present leaders lack vision and objectives. SL has been driven to this point by our innate nature of pastoralist republicans know to Somalilanders which is: Majority decisions must run its course before changes are made. Is in this philosophy that I propose this serie of topic where we could discuss problems and solutions that could be implemented by this government or be a topic for the upcoming elections. The course that we are on right now is a death-end and we need to change it so that our country could level itself to a 21st century nation. Our means to achieve this goals could be obtained by contacting journalist, writing paper on different websites (as a group or individually) and emailing or phoning constantly ministries, civil groups, and attending government meetings in the diaspora. Believe me our message could be trending in borate, hargeysa and burco.
Instead of sitting here and complaining like little teenage girls who just got their first period, we honour our ancestor who were go-getters by being an active activist for the betterment of our country and nation. Somaliland needs to be more democratic with strong institutions.
The top of these institutions is the Ministry of Finance. It does not matter what you think, believe or say about recognition because the sad truth is that no one will respect you let alone recognize you if you have nothing to offer. Go back to the beginning of this topic where I've said that we live in a interest-driven world and our interest lies with our economical prowess in a poverty driven region. Money could buy you happiness and in our case recognition but the ever illusive question is: How can we be an economic force in the region, in this continent?
My answer to that is to have the most efficient taxation system. Not too high to attract investor and have a thriving business environment, not too low to have a successful social services and accumulate foreign reserves. Before I go to much into details please share your opinion in how to achieve an efficient taxation system and what that system could entail?
Folks remember we could propose this to the ministry of finance or other branch of the government to implement this project. Think about what will you achieve if it gets to be talked about it and you play a small part in it. So go ahead and let this be an active discussion with real results.
