Sadly, I know one of the cats that's about to be executed... Back in 2012 his poster was all over Hargeisa, he was just elected as a parliamentarian only to learn to drink and one night he got over drunk and killed a man... This dude was a rising star in the Somaliland politics...And now he will be executed..

I agree with capital punishment. My grandfather was killed by a foolish young man who though he is over the law. His tribe rushed him to Hargeisa because there was no death penalty there. This will force people to think twice before doing something stupid.

Apparently old man had several sons, they picked up their weapon after learning their father was killed but they were persuaded by the elders of the tribe to let justice take its course... Dude would've been dead by now or he would've had fled...

speaking of fleeing, in my town I have several killers who killed people and then went into Kenyan qaxooti camps where they got flown to the US as refugees...but im sure they are still looking over their shoulders.

Somaliland has the weakest justice system in the world.
They release terrorists, what makes you think they could do capital punishment.
What made me give up hope on the Somaliland Justice system is when they released the Khatumo rebels, that killed some SL army members after 4 months. What was the point of arresting them.
I think Somaliland has lost its way since the mujaheddin days.

Somaliland desperately needs Capital Punishment

There should be executions against terrorist supporters, murderers, rapists, armed robbers, drug traffickers, and other serious felons. That would dramatically reduce the crime rate and clean Somaliland of the filth which exists within it.

Yes I know the family pretty well. Both the murderer and victim were hy, the same sub. The older son of the man was going to pop him but he was arrested so he and few of his cousins took knifes and axes to get revenge on his family but were stopped. He murderer old man promised the victims family they will fully support his execution and give compensation. The son has vowed to kill someone from his family if he is not executed.

I agree with you 110%, but the whole clan wars among the Somalis borders Kufr. When two clans fight, they search for any male from the opposing tribe, regardless if he is armed or is against the beef between the said tribes, they will kill him. A Muslim brother killing another, or others aiding, encouraging from far away and abetting their tribes morally and financially to murder and loot other Muslims.
