Opinions

We all have our own opinions about events such as politics, cultures of societies and many other things and they are subjective based views which are solely one's opinion. Maxay Somalida macangag u yihiin and expect everyone to agree with them and share the same opinion as them and if not, a verbal fight ensues? For example, if the discussion is about the prediction of who will win and prevail to be the king in game of thrones, dad baa ka xanaaqi fikrad kale oo waa lays caayn. Why? The other thing is some have a knack to argue an Islamic point while using profanities such as fucktard and fuck you, inta aadan dadka kale u wacdin, maxaa adiga kuu diidey inaad af xumida joojiso? Let us exchange opinions without insults, childish bullying tactics and remember, the art of a good debate is the content delivered in a well mannered way. Good mannerism and modesty is a command from Allah SWT in the quraan.

"Those who patiently persevere, seeking the countenance of their Lord; establish regular prayers; spend out of (the gifts) We have bestowed for their sustenance, secretly and openly; and turn off evil with good: for such there is the final attainment of the (Eternal) Home."

99% of the time i try to stay clear of calling people names and be mature about things in spite of however corrupt their views are, but there is always that 1% where i just can't handle ignorance, hypocrisy and stupidity.. so i might say something immature but i'm working on it.. i came along way for those who had known me in the past..

thanks for the reminder..

My pleasure brother, abti waa dhaqankeena, qofka ugu qaaylida badan baa la maqlaa, lam aamusanna loo qaataa inuu doqon aka fulley yahay. Taasi oo dhalisey inaan lays maqlin oo wax lagala faa'iideeysan. Regardless of how we view someone's opinion, it is incumbent for all of us to set an example for the young Somalis that we can agree to disagree with respect. Illaah SWT ha inoo fudeeydo, but we need to take the initiative to conduct ourselves with ixtiraam even if the opposing view is contrary to ours. There are great debaters on this forum but the problem is that most of us have short fuses when our options are challenged. We should have the courage to be flexible in our thoughts and not regard ourselves as Mr Know everything, learn the art of compromise and from one another's opinion. Thanks again buddy.
