Mashallah what a beautiful and intelligent young woman. She is perfectly right, they only times Africa comes up in mainstream media is when they show starving kids, rebel militias or wildlife programmes. African governments have many flaws, and are extremely corrupt - just look at qoslaaye and his band of dhillos that call themselves a parliament. But corruption is only a small piece of the pie and doesn't cause economic poverty. If you read the histories of East asian tiger nations like Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and now Indoesia and China, you see huge levels of government and business corruption. In fact comapnies like Sony, Samsung, Hyundai would not exist without corruption. It is the lack of direction and ideas that lead to poverty - Just look at Somaliland and Somalia. But the biggest problems that do the real damage are that of western and now east asian countries that impose neo-liberal ideology that only benefits foriegn corporations. At least, the indhayar will build you a bridge or a highway before they loot your natural resources. The cadaan gaalo won't even do that for you.
That's why Somalis need homegown engineers, doctors, lawyers etc. That's why we need to avoid IMF, WB and the WTO mafias that keep nations in debt and poverty to feed off their resources like parasites. But I don't think any Somali leader cares, they all take their orders from Xabashis who themselves are the west's bitch.

This woman is amazing. She's very well-spoken and intelligent
Africa in general has a lack of direction when it comes to economics and development, and this has caused untold damage for hundreds of millions of people throughout the continent.

Just the other day you labelled me as complete imbecile who contributes nothing to this forum but womanization...yet here u are drooling over something I contributed...
On to the topic at hand,..
I appreciate her intellect and her articulate ways but for god's sake we need to stop this sense of victimhood... Africa has been as independent as those Asian tigers...we were both colonized...The difference is that our leaders are absolute degenerates who have no ounce of patriotism who have brought Africa to her current predicament ..,how can you blame DRC' Congo's situation onto the white men ..you had Mobutu sense seko make this country his own fiefdom while the populace just took the misery brought onto them by illegitimate leader..death was worth more than the complicity of the people of DRC..DRC is a country that experts have agreed is theoretically the richest country in the world...
Here is this little girl chastising the old white lady by dismissing her aid campaign by saying "we don't need any help" although her own Presidnt requested and begged for help with this disease...so please let's capture her mistake ...she needs to preach to African leaders...Africa needs to look deep into herself send stop this obsession with the white man ...you don't look after your interest then you will be consumed
