The pilot's manager in Mogadishu said there was a visit to the airport by four Somalian Civil Aviation Inspectors yesterday "who were apparently shot when leaving the airport surrounds."

"This story of the crash was disseminated by the rebels and has something to do with the shootings," the pilot said via email.

No aircraft has crashed recently in Mogadishu.

Slave of johnson, if you can clearly read, it says the story was started and spread by "rebels" not the Somalia media.

And the local Somali media ran with it. They were supposed to verify the info which they never do. They are at fault here, not some rebels
