how to encourage somalis to wear their hido iyo dhaqan clothing

Post by waraabe251 »

how do we get somalis to wear their traditional clothing. I think traditional clothing are a must especially at weddings. but how do we get rid of this ugly macawiis an asian tradition or that khamiis (thawb). I think that our traditional clothing are very beautiful.

Yes they do look similar to the ways the ancient Greeks dressed. I think Sahal80 was right this whole time Somalis are most likely Caucasians who descended from the ancient Greeks.

This map shows the E1b1b in both modern day Greece and the horn of Africa. We have stayed pure while our Greek cousins have been mixing with the barbaric Germanic tribes. Inshallah we will unite again

The term Caucasian came from a German scientist who believed Caucasians where the first race and the Caucasus mountains was generally believed to be the place of human origin back then because of biblical reasons. But lets not go that far back because nobody can really be sure we came from there and this ancient Greek theory sounds more feasible.

We traded and stayed in contact with our Greek cousins until we slowly stop and turned to the nomadic life.

I thought nomads already dressed like that, such clothing is hardly suitable in an urban environment though.

Greeks are not our cousins. What that map shows is that the Haplogroup E1B1B is native to the Horn of Africa because that's where it frequents the most. So Greeks, North Africans, Southern Europeans and some in the Middle East in the Ancient times probably had Somali lovers :D
