Is Somali music haram?

I don't think so. Somali music has been around for more than a century now, and would probably be around long after we are gone. You can't just call it Haram because you dont listen.

Sophy, when you are unknown you can't publicly claim jufos, you claim what the public is most aware of, in your case gedabursi.

Reer Nur are the most well known sub-clans of Samaroon. Just look at my cousin Lancer and allow him to inform you that they make up many of the intellectuals and PhDs of the pack i.e. the current foreign minister of Somalia. Mainly because they are the most vocal and divisive. Also, my circle of affiliates are informed. If they are not Reer Nur they are normally half.

In public you are Somali P_O unless you want to be progressive and claim African American. In any case, I have come across many Somalis north-to-south in origin and they know.

If my memory serves me right they used to claim my kinsmen of the Samaroon. I don't blame them as we are well known to Somalis. There is also a well known burial ground in Hargeisa named after the Reer Nuur. Also, I should add there is interesting folklore about a relationship between the Cidagale and Reer Nuur of Samaroon. No wonder I get along quite well with Garxajis people. I also got a lot of Sacad Musse family like Lancer.
