The airport project was started by the British just before independence and completed by the Sovietunion in 1961. The natural deep sea port was developed by the Sovietunion in 1961 and finished in 1964.
Afweyne had nothing to do with it and he didn't build shit in Somaliland.
The incompetence and stupidity of the Somaliland government is

you cannot compare business investment partnership and aid
Mogadishu is build by Turkish company as an investment business partnership with Somalia Government %50 of profit goes to the Turkish company next to years.
Berera is build by Kuwait as part of subsaharan aid that is why it looks the way its becouse its a aid money. also they will building water for hargeysa as subsaharan aid.

lol @ Libaxxyar
in that context Turkish intervention in 2011 & Amisom presence since 2006 are also considered "business partnership"
The united nation alone apart from turkey and other independent nations, pay you a billion Dollar each year.
On 15th of September 2013, Turkish company FAVORI took over the management of Mogadishu Aden Adde International Airport.
Favori will be managing everything from ground handling, passenger services, cargo, fuel to security, as well as general airport maintenance.
This is a great opportunity for FAVORI to enhance the image of Somalia’s main airport, as well as raising the reputation of the Turkish company’s engagement with Somalia and Somalis.
Congratulations to FAVORI, and welcome to Somalia.

Remember that was Bakar market few years ago. It prospered today thanks to the international recognition & flow of multinational corporations (Capital) There is no magic in that or something phenomenal really you think Hargeisa wouldn't become another Dubai If we had it 20 years ago. But fact is fact.
As unrecognized country, it actually manages its own army (including wages) something Somalia is not really doing it well. Somalia gets 600 Million each year just to pay for Amisom alone & another 400 for your "modern" Bakara market.
You know there is a difference between corporation and direct aid. posting an agreement to upgrade a port does not cover for all the direct aid you received clearly visible in the Hospitals, Infrastructure. services etc etc.. SL budget is 250 million even more than your internationally recognized country (216 million) and how much it gets compared to your 1 Billion allowance? 100 million (just recently after the agreement 2 or 3 years ago) spreading across SL unlike your's almost confined in Xamar.
So yeah we're still winning.
