Absolutely ridiculous - Labour pledge to reduce tuition fees.

Post by nord »

What we need is to discourage people from going to university by raising the fees. University should not be something anyone can achieve. Now it will be there will be an even greater saturation of people with degrees and going to uni. Vote tory.

The UK has ridiculous tuition fees compared to the rest of Europe.

In most Northern European countries tuition is nearly free and you even get paid to go to university. The standard of living is HIGHER in Scandinavia/Benelux etc than the UK.

BV you're right. Taxes are way too high and we are not getting value for money.

Anyways you don't increase tuition but you increase the standards. You shouldn't be in admitted to a college or university if you have lower than a 3.5 GPA. These public institutions shouldn't be profit driven

UK unis are not for profit, and they already have selection criteria that are fairly stringent.

they shoulnt have raised it in the first place. It was labour that raised it to £9000 from £2700. few years before that, university education was free in the UK. They are gunning for votes. Labour is weak. Ed must Go!

Tories will sell the NHS to the highest bidder. Privatisation is their deity.
