We were expecting this one way or the other but let me Brief you since i have been following the very first day Somaliland entered talks with the Mogadishu government of Sh sharif. The Somalia and Somaliland conflict is the strongest in the region and the biggest issue every Somali in the Horn has an opinion its a sensitive subject for Majority Somalilanders and Koonfurians the complex relationship between the 2. The Somalia and Somaliland conflict is sensational especially for the Somali Media. Now lets put things into perspective in 2012 the British Government held a conference in that conference Somalia and Somaliland were called upon to hold talks in order to clarify their future relations.So the First Talks were held in London than in Dubai between sharif Ahmed and President Siilaanyo. Followed by Ankara 1 , Istanbul 1 istanbul 2 istanbul 3. Djibouti 1 , Istanbul 4 the last one In total times the have met 9 TImes and have agreed one Point the Airspace agreement which the Somalia government failed to Implement. The talks are so difficult because Somalia stands that Somalia and Somaliland are one country and that 2 sides should remain United the former Somali republic. Somalia and Somaliland United in 1960 to form the Somali republic not Somalia, and Somaliland stands that Somaliland statehood is sacrosanct. The Blue flag represent not just Somalia and Somaliland But Jabuuti and Kenya NFD and Ethiopias Kilil Somali. But for many Somalis those countries are gone but for Somalilanders the Somaliland state is very important and its independence. The 2 sides could not agree on anything in the Last talks in Djibouti they agreed to talk about the disputed contention but before they could the Somalia side sabotaged the talks and it was staged.

There are 2 different strategies adopted by Mogadishu and Hargeysa, Mogadishu their interest is to prolong these talks thats the strategy thats why it took 2 and a half years to address the Elephant in the Room. For Somaliland its lets get to Business and address what is at stake. Somaliland strategy was to broaden these talks into international talks , the Koonfurians wanted prolong the talks or were stalling there were to many administrations and prime minister. Remember back in 2013 when the SFG was trying to appease Somaliland especially HSM and i said never trust Walanweyns for he has a plan. He first wanted to re unite Somaliland with Somalia and than try to score big and than use that to be re elected , i mean what Southern leader will be the greatest the one that makes peace with Somaliland, and solves the Somalia and Somaliand conflict.

But Somalia never wanted to talk about the disputed issue between the 2 countries. Somaliland also had a plan for these talks to fail, Somaliland was never happy how slow these talks were going , the Somaliland government knew Somalia was sending dirty woqoyis to Istanbul. But they flew to Istanbul any way just so that the talks collapsed. Somaliland gained 2 points from these talks the Air space agreement and that Somalia admitted that they committed atrocities against the people of Somaliland for the future talks this is very important. In the last talks they agreed that Djibouti can play a mediating role the SL side wanted more countries to Join as Mediators in Europe and Africa.

But Somalia refused and only wanted Djibouti. Somalia is avoiding arbitrators, because it knows than it will lose. Minister Maxmmad Biixi Yoonis pointed that out once in a video. Now SL has 9 Communiques Somalia and Somaliland talked and not one has been implemented all on the side of Somalia it can show this to the countries that have organized these talks to begin with UK and Sweden Norway France. Somaliland has hard evidence and it can now show that the Somalia and Somaliland talks cant continue with Mediators. We thank the Turkish government for the Facilitating role they have played. The Koonfurians wanted their plan was to let one mediating country join the talks every time we meet and it would reach a solution in 7 years times. But they also felt that the talks would have failed now if the elephant in the room wasn't addressed, So what did they do they brought Dirty woqoyis into the shir they knew that SL will never sit with them SL will not sit with the Dirty woqoyis those who sought refuge in Mogadishu qaxootis. And the talks would have collapsed that was the aim.

The delegates from Somalia, have already left Turkey. They refused the condition of Somaliland, calling it 'delusional'. Kudos to the Somali government. Either way, the upper hand will always go to Wanlaweyn. The triangle state will remain in the same situation, whereas Wanlaweyn gets more peaceful and stronger. We are a sovereign recognised country, obviously Somalia will forever have the upper hand.

I don't see why the separatist's will be in a celebratory mood. Not like they have any options anyways.

Somalia has been losing the pas 24 years nothing will change
