1. Concrete and stone is cheaper material
2. Keeps cooler in the summer months and warmer in the cold months

Good answer! But I have been in African houses in Africa during hot heat climate, it felt really hot. I think boxes would have better. But I think u r right. I am going to google the physics of it. did u say cheap? Bricks cheap? Not to mention lasts for long years!

Civil engineers are not responsible for a building's overall design. That task chiefly belongs to the architect. And that house ain't all that. Just waiting for the techicolour painted walls to show up.

No it was a somali civil engineer who designed and built this simple yet modern villa.
