The world TODAY through the prophet (saw)'s eyes BACK THEN

Post by GoodNews »

Question:
Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said that nations will haunt against us. Can we say that this is happening right now?
Answer Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi:
The Prophet (pbuh) said: “Nations are about to scheme against you in the same way as greedy eaters vie with one another on the dining-table. One of the companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Will that relate to being few in numbers?’ The Prophet said: ‘No, but your huge number will be of little effectiveness, and (Allah) will cast Al-Wahan in your hearts.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what does Al-Wahan mean?’ He said, ‘Your hearts are strongly attached to life luxuries and you feel strong aversion to death’.” (Ahmad and Abu-Dawud)

The previous Hadith is considered one of the miracles with which the Prophet (pbuh) was aided. The Hadith refers to what will happen by the end of this world. In other words, it shows the extent of the moral decay that will affect the Muslim Ummah, and will encourage its enemies to haunt it, especially after neglecting Allah’s Commands and ignoring His Prophet’s teachings.

The miracles that Allah Almighty has granted His Prophets, peace and blessings be upon them all, to help in delivering their messages, are not only rules and regulations from which the Muslim Ummah can seek guidance regarding what is lawful and what is prohibited. Rather, They serve as a means of encouraging the Muslim to bear the sufferings and tribulations of life with patience and perseverance, keeping in mind that Allah will never forsake him.

The words of the Hadith show that the state of weakness facing the Muslim Ummah nowadays is transitory.

Sheik Qaradawi has a way of periodically giving himself a bad name. For example, you can't advocate beating your woman, no matter what she does. You can't advocate capital punishment for adultery. These are red flag issues, and any time you advocate this middle ages mentality, you are going to take a beating in the press. Mohammed himself could come back from the dead, and if he advocated beating women (lightly) he would get castigated.

Excuse me, MAD MAC but he can advocate capital punishment for adultery as it is stated in the Quran. The Quran also states the a man can beat his wife lightly as a last resort if she is disobident. All that the sheikh is advocating are the laws of Allah. He codemns what is wrong (like suicide bombings and targetting civilians) and he advocated what is right. I agree with all the laws of Allah. Why shouldn't a person pay for their immoral actions? Why should a woman disobey her husband? Why should a man not treat his wife with kindness- when the quran says "Be kind to your wife even if you hate her" and the nabi (saw) said " The best of is the one who is kindest to your wives and families"?

MAD MAC wake up please- you are a muslim (or are you not?). Stop talking as if you are a kafir.

I am a kafir. And I understand that the Sheik is simply talking the line of his doctrine. And that's the rub. Islam DESPERATELY needs a reformation, but given that Muslims believe that the Qur'an is divine, and unalterable, it does not know how to get there. For this reason, the rest of the world is moving further and further away from "the Ummah" in terms of definitions of morality and social structure.

So, as long as Muslims continue to try and implement 7th century dogma onto a 21st century world, they are going to find themselves in conflict with everyone around them. It's inevitable.

Islam DESPERATELY needs a reformation? Right n what may that be, oh the great western modernity concept and the assumption that western concepts of freedom democracy, secular authority should be applied universally..!

As long as Islamic leaders continue to cling to absolutist thought, Islam will remain in conflict with ALL non-Islamic socieites. How else can it be?
