Re: any from south africa
I went to the University of Cape Town for a six month exchange.
The Western Cape is a nice place with a diverse population and good weather. They mainly speak Afrikaans (a Dutch dialect) and most people are mixed race or white. Eastern South Africa is less nice and has more poverty and crime issues. If you visit the country, go to the western cape region. Lot's of cool things you can do there and it's relatively cheap compared to Western countries.
