In his latest article, Professor Gees writes the former Ethiopian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs informed him that Afweyne committed suicide. There have been rumours that he died in a Nigerian toilet, but this latest revelation that he committed suicide only showcases the level of his cowardice.

MSB (AUN) was the greatest leader Somali's ever had, before or since there has been nobody comparable.
The Somali state reached it's high point in culture, science and industry under his stewardship.
We only have to look around the various Ethiopian controlled territories & statelets to confirm this. :)

Yeah the high point of begging Russia, the USand the his colonial masters of italy. Somalia was an Aid dependent state. Before he came to power it was a country on the up and the world expected big things.

Anyway, the guy is dead and this is tasteless thread. Mods delete this

LH,

Do you know who Professor Gees is? Do you also know what history is? What is tasteless about it?

OD,

I wonder why he committed suicide if all you said is true?

Don't be so silly.....your telling me about a rumour heard from the lips of a Xabashi official. :shaq:
Nothing of substance has been achieved since the fall of the glorious regime.

What a bunch of nonsense! All the news/newspapers at the time, would have reported if this was true. But no, wait.................we have to take what ONE Ethiopian reported to a Somali man who may or may not have selfish ulterior motives.

Niya, Professor Gees is retired. He is the same clan as Afweyne himself. He has nothing to gain from fabrications. He has written many articles about Somaliland/Somalia's history. He does not mince words and he is not a tool box. As you can tell from the article he wrote it is number 39 of a series of articles about what recalling events in his life "Dharaaro xusuustood".

This is not a mere xabashi as well, this is the former state minister for foreign affairs, and the person who mentioned that Siad Barre committed suicide is none other than the President of Nigeria at the time.

This is past innuendos and conjecture, it is in the realm of series and credible information about his last moments. It is very telling and describes the last kick of a coward.

He either died in the toilet while constipated in a an African hellhole living as a refugee

Or
He committed suicide.

Either way a deserving death of an illiterate coward

Salah Al-Din, how come this was not reported in the newspapers at the time?

It's not a revelation and it really showcases nothing. A third party account of an improbable and seemingly fictitious narrative, similar to that toilet death story is what it really is.

Niya, I don't understand your question. Does everything get reported in newspapers?

GeoSeven, this is not some fadhi ku dirir coffee shop internet clan bashing rumours. These are serious allegations that Professor Gees has deemed credible enough to repeated in WRITING. I doubt there is any one that can say Professor Gees is a fabricator.
