HARGEISA-President Ahmed Silanyo who made another reshuffle to the cabinet has again appointed to the Central Bank Governor to a politician who just returned from Mogadishu three weeks ago.

The newly appointed Central Bank Governor Hon. Abdilahi H. Jama Ali believes the Somali unity doctrine and is strongly against the aspirations of Somaliland to break away and secede from Somalia due to the past genocide that Siad Barre committed against the people in Somaliland.

Mr. Abdilahi has not been pardoned by a court in the country and did not publicly denounce his ideology about his federalism beliefs before holding a public office.



Somaliland says that anyone hailing from her sovereignty and who held political office in Somalia cannot return to the country safely but face arrest and will be charged committing an act of national treason.

The president and the legislatures are entitled to pardon such that individuals.

The decision of President Ahmed Silanyo in appointing such individuals is a breach to country’s national constitution and is likely to have negative implication when it comes to members that hail from Somaliland and who tries to hold public office in Somalia.

Unless President Ahmed Silanyo brings when and what time did Abdilahi appealed to be forgiven or changed his federalism ideology this will be the biggest blunder that president Silanyo made.

two strong ministers ( former minister of oil and minirels hussen ducaleh and former minister of health xaglatoosye) were removed..!!....i know the former has some many accusations of corruption against him but is he the first HJ mininster to be sacked..!!.thats a surprise I thought those r untochables....besides was a hard worker,and sincere to build peace bridges with the dholos..!!...i wonder why did he sacked them...any one have a clue?

He has not been sacked. The people who got sacked have already been mentioned. But I think he is due to get relocated.
I don't think Xaglatoosiye has been sacked either.

Btw other than reshuffles and shirs, what does the Somaliland government do?

you got the wrong info both ministers are still there. Also hussein ducale can never be the first habarjeclo minister to be sacked. silanyo already fired ilhaan maxamed jaamac from muuse abokor sanaag, who was the minister of labour and social affairs two years ago. she was one of his closest people since he was kulmiye party chairman. it does not make sense if habarjeclo ministers are reshuffled or not actually they hold less powerful positions today.

aviation: we don't even control our air space minister of aviation is not powerful position.
minerals and enery: somaliland does not export any minerals or oil at all. the government owns no big electricity companies. even the small government owned electricity company in hargeisa is run by the dhulos minister of public works.


presidential ministry was nothing before xirsi. ciidagle clan once confronted against cigal government when he gave them the ministry of presidential affairs. they said " ina cigaalaw ma taasaad keentay maanta inaad maanta kijada naagtaada kaltuun noo dirto" kkk but look today how xersi gaab made that position something valuable. in fact habarjeclo ministers have no actual power its the media and their clan affiliation with the president that makes them look something they are not.
