What are your favourite verses from the Qur'an?

Post by SiennaEarth »

Please please please no trolling, no mentioning tribes, atheism, other religions or beliefs etc and lets not bash each other. Lets just all try and respect each other. If you are skeptical about a verse or want to express your dislike for Islam please open another thread and address it there.

Lets just be positive and all muslims or non muslims please share verses of the Qur'an you find beautiful, inspirational, heart warming etc.

Here are my favourite verses;

"So patiently persevere, for verily the promise of Allah is true. And do not let those who themselves have no certainty of faith, shake your firmness." (Surah Ar-Rum 30:60)

"Say(oh Muhammad): The Truth has come from your Lord. Let him who will, believe it, and let him who will, reject it."
(al-Kahf 18: 29)

"And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility and when the ignorant address them, they say, 'Peace!';" (al-Furqan 25: 63)

And those who have no knowledge say: "Why does not Allah speak to us (face to face) or why does not a sign come to us?" So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike, We have indeed made plain the signs for people who believe with certainty. Sura Baqra 2:118

Like the behaviour of the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and those before them; they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), so Allah seized (destroyed) them for their sins. And Allah is Severe in punishment. Sura Ali Imran 3:11

And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. Sura Yaseen 36:37 to 36:40

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge. Sura Ar- Rum 30-22

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do. Sura Al Ma'idah 5:8

She said: "How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?" He said: "So (it will be), your Lord said: 'That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah).” So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 4-6 miles from Jerusalem). And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: "Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!" Then [the babe 'Iesa (Jesus) or Jibrael (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: "Grieve not! Your Lord has provided a water stream under you; Sura Maryam 19:20 to 19:24

O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

Surat Al Hujarat, Verse 13.

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.

30:21

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know.

He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.(surah hadid , verse 3)

It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah , of what you do, is Seeing.(surah hadid , verse 4).

On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe

sadaqa allhu cadiim.
