Dr Duale, ten years and counting. This man took his appointment as the Permanent Rep to the UN in a most literal sense. I don't think he's ever going to leave

He's a good man though.

There was SOMALI REPUBLIC from July 1 1960 to October 1969. there was nothing called somalia during those 9 years. you can check any official document. somalia was the old name of the south only. the use of of somalia was freezed from the mement somaliland united with somalia until barre took over the power. thats when he mixed every thing SOMALIA,SOMALI REPUBLIC,SOMALIA DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC. all in one meaning.

If you guys watch this historic 10 minute video of prime minister sharmarke 's first visit to the U.S in 1962 you can notice that no one mentioned somalia at once ! . our country was THE SOMALI REPUBLIC. there was no Somalia.

Kkkkk khayaaligii websiteyada miyaa!

Sheeko waalan!

Somalia is the name that was and is known the country at the united nation as a full member of it

Adan abdullahi dacar-1960-67 was known as president of somalia

We used both terms: somali republic and the republic of somalia

In arabic too: jamhuriyat as somal and al jamhouriya al somaliya

In somali: jamhouriyada somalia

This the UN resolution confirming the somalias independence:republic of somalia

Notic it doesn't include democratic
"1479 (XV)20 September 1960ADMISSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOMALIA TO MEMBERSHIP IN THE UNITED NATIONS"

Somali Republic 1960-1969
Somali Democratic Republic 1969-1991
Federal Republic of Somalia 2012-present

Somalia was the unofficial name but the constitution said the Somali republic
it was changed by the kacaan in 1969 then the recent one in 2012 chose
the Federal Republic of Somalia as the Official name.

It's not that hard buddy
rubbish!

Somalias name at the UN was/is republic of somalia

I have posted the source from the UN itself

If you need more confirmation here is the marxoum cigaal confirming it

He says "they commited strategic mistake on as the southren imposed on us their name in a smart way straight after the union, we agreed to take the name of the dimocratic somali republic but the countrys representative at the UN has surprised us sitting behind a banner carrying the name somalia wich was known to south!

You need to separate between the wishes and the facts!

Its fait accompli!

sahal give up bro. there was no somalia 1960 to 1969. there is no better evidence than the above historic clip of sharmarke. afweyne reintroduced tha name Somalia as the official name of the entire somali nation.
