Well, well, it all depends on several factors; global economic growth (2007 figures), war(s)/threat of war in the middle east are just two issues which will make an impact.
It was not long ago that we had 147 dollars/barrel; and my prediction is that it will hit the 70 dollars mark by december this year. There is alot of money pumped into the economic systems to stimulate growth; and that will have an impact.
By the end of 2016 we could have 100-120 .

The days of $100 a barrel are over thanks to increased production of shale oil

Commodities are in a cyclical term bear market.
Gold and silver peaked in 2011. Oil peaked in 2008.
Typically they go down for 25 years after these type of bull markets.

Shale oil is actually not that important when we look at predictions.
There are other factors at work; global economic growth is slow and there are some structural challenges; industrial output remains low.

Shale oil for the most part is uneconomic at less than $60.
Prices will rise in line with economic growth/demand in Asia/Europe.
Very unlikely to see $100 oil for the foreseeable future.
