Should I snitch?

Post by Idman702 »

So my company was hiring some new employees this month. There were 4 candidates left. Including a hijabi girl. She was qualified for the position. But she wasn't called in for the final interview which is a group interview. I asked the my colleague who was in charge of the interview and she said she forgot to call her and basically made up some excuses. Should I snitch on her? Even though she hires the people I know... She will also snitch on me for telling her to hire someone I know...

If you think it is discrimination you should mention that it wasn't cool. Next time she will be sure to hire a Muslim. If it really was because she forget, whatever shit happens.

If you tell her to hire people you know then it's a case of the pot calling the kettle right?

That kind of ish is going to come and bite you at a future date, especially if you want to be/are a chartered professional

Are you serious right now? You wouldn't get a friend who is qualified hired?

Don't they have like Internal recruiting? Some companies encourage their workers to recommend people as oppose to using HR to bring in new people

If it's a case of recommending then hell yes, I might do that for them depending on how well I think they would perform etc. Would definitely help them with the application as well

If there is a recruitment process in place, a point system of some sort and "getting them hired" means fiddling with numbers then hell no. Why would I do that? Can help you practise, etc, but would not commit fraud for anyone, not even my brother

Would you?

Fuck yeah I would if I think they could do the job. I would do whatever I can to get them hired. Most times there isn't "point systems" but just weeding out candidates and that is where you do your best to get them hired.

I don't know much about recruitment but what I do know is that not all jobs are advertised, in fact most aren't. If a company has decided to bear the cost of recruitment (and it is quite expensive) then they've hired the recruiter to get the best person for the job. It is not a case of who you "feel" might be good for the job, there is a system in place

As such hiring someone because they are your friend when you have been hired to get the best person for the job is fraudulent

In most times freinds hire their close friends or relatives.
It's called Vitamin W here aka Wasta 10 people step for a job and they already
chosen the winner, which is in most cases, not even among the 10 candidates.
