Selection of MODS

In the other thread where lejusticier disclosed his pick for modship I see a lot of people celebrating and throwing congrats around. Why? You guys were not consented at all. You had no say in how those two gentlemen became MODS. What is there to celebrate? Wouldn't it be much better if a list of candidates were published and the members of the forums were asked to vote and the person with the highest vote wins?

Or is becoming a MOD as easy as another mod picking his favorite people? Africans never progress..whether is a real election or something as trivial as choosing moderators for a website. They also do what they like. Primitive!



Lejusticier tells us what process you used to come to the conclusion that these two guys were the best among us? I really want to know.

I don't know why anyone would celebrate more moderators being selected. It's the over moderation of this forum that has turned it into what it is today -- the Somali version of Yahoo! Answers.

Before a poll there needs to be a list of candidates, no?

I would suggest looking back at LeJ's original Mod selection thread which was stickied and putting up the names of the most selected male & female mods on the poll.

yes. Matter of fact I think these two guys should also be in the list of candidates. A list of 10 people where only three or whatever you guys want are picked.

Hyperactive, Nabeela, Smile, Shirib, Andiwahab and Lamagoodle aren't online as much. They do what they can.

I've had more time lately but the last year I haven't been on as much.

So we thought of 2-3 more who are active to watch the place.



The forum hasn't been over moderated in awhile. It's a lot better than it used to be and there's a great balance

The upgrade to the forum also has made a big uptick in activity too.
