Horta, why did SL halted the death row all these years..!!



Hargeisa – SL (Cabays Media) Six men accused of killing innocent people have being executed early morning on Monday in Somaliland. The men faced death squad and shot in by selected well trained members of the national army and police units were some of them on death row for more than a decade.



According to Abdi Abdillahi, a spokesman for Somaliland’s ministry of justice, the execution came after relatives of those they killed demanded for the similar fate and to be killed for their crime against their loved ones. The execution took place the outskirts of the main prison in Mandhera district.

This is the first execution for more than six years and there are a lot of murderers still waiting for trail or on death row. The justice system in Somaliland is often blame for not being fair and corrupted.

The list of names of the executed murderers were also released by the ministry of justice and this comes when murder rate has increase in the last few years and even high level of military ranks were murdered by their follow comrades. In Somaliland families of victims have the say whether any one accused of murder will face death squad or not if they are found guilty and most cases where someone is found manslaughter blood money is exchanged.

I cant understand why SL government suspended the death row all these years..!!...no wonder the murder crimes have increased in the major cities, I am still shocked at that woman who slaughtered another woman and cut her into pieces then thrown her remains down the sanitary.walahi they should have started with her.
