May Allah s.w.t bless them both with a lifetime of happiness, joy and beautiful moments. Amiin
I love how despite the spectacular opulence of the wedding, they both have their hands cupped in prayer. MashaAllah

While I was visiting there I met him. Very cool guy and humble. He visited us with his Porsche (grey one). Their palace is half of the size of the whole city. Very tropical, lush, green and the gate is just a minor white one.

We went to their old residence which is now a museum. All the gold is flown from Australia. Their currency is like that of Australia including design and value (dollar for dollar, they take the Aussie dollar too). A lot of Australian influence. Don't know why.

I didn't like the ideas behind some of their mosques. For example the Sultan built a huge wonderful mosque but he added pillars that matched either his age or bloodline. Something along that line...I thought that was rubbish. Why make a mosque so personal and inject your own lil profile so much into it.

All in all its small and boring peaceful country.

He is just like any other average Bruneian. No crime, no thugs, no drama. Crazy roads...so clean. Probably inspired by Singapore.

Congratulations to him. I respect them. They are one of few Muslim states that spend extravaganza that I respect. Trust me he looks after his people and petrol is so subsidised last time it was only $.30 per litre.

I asked them how I could become a citizen and they told me the first rule is learning the Sultan's entire lineage (abtirsiimo) and you know is af-indhooyaar...you be lucky if you can remember 4. He is laandheere big abtiirsimo.

You know if I had that wealth it would bring me happiness to attacked unsuspecting desperate person with cash..like someone who is facing bankruptcy or owns some serious cash and is worried to death...I would also have travelled around and slap huge money on a crippled begger in some third world country ...
