Ethiopia is mostly rural farmers, it's 84% rural, one of the least urbanized countries in the world. I think the 93 million figure is probably about right

I don't think it's 93 million, but I also don't think it's 18 million either. If I had to guesstimate, I would say they are around 50 - 60 million.

And as for 5 million ruling over the entire country, it happens sxb. It's Africa we are talking about.

Mogadishu and Hargeysa are no more than a million in my opinion. The London boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hillingdon and Harrow combined have more people than the biggest city in Somalia in my opinion and they just surpass the one million mark.

I sometimes play around with Google Earth and look at random cities in Somalia and in foreign countries. You could definitely tell that Mogadishu has at least 2.6 million people and that's just within the city confinement.

You go about 10-20 miles into the suburbs and u could see why it's 3 million.

Sahal, you live in the UK and have been to many places in Somalia/Djibouti. Be honest, when you travel through these three boroughs bearing in mind the number of high rise buildings, don't you think they have a larger population than any Somali city?
