Why do somalis use the word yaahu (sic).do you know where it originates? I have a theory of sorts.

Jewish referred to god as yahu at times.the yahu name was also used for pagan dieties in ancient egypt and canaan.anat yahu was one such goddess worshipped by jews in ancient egypt.i believe the somalis may be invoking an ancient diety, much in the way we use words like barwaaqo (ancient reference to waaq).I have never heard of yahuu meaning yahuud.you may be right.

The full phrase is "yaahu ya kaafir", it is an arabic exclamation.
