This internet is not real
you know what. i've been confused for a while about how come most of the people on this site are NOTHING like somalis i know in the outside world.
then i realized, the voices you hear on the internet are usually nothing like the MAJORITY of people in the outside world. when i was younger, i was into rap music and would go on internet sites to discuss it. everyone on the internet liked Nas, the Roots, and other artists of that ilk. they'd hate artists like Lil wayne, drake, and nicki minaj. yet, when i talked to most people outside the internet, lil wayne and drake was almost everyone's favorite artist.
thats when i realized, the internet seems to self-select people into certain places and then it creates an echo chamber where only like-minded ingorance resonates.

Yes nothing screams ignorance more than some one not liking drake, lil wayne
I think you got your theory backwards the internet is as real as it gets what most people say in real life is fake as opposed to the web where they express their thoughts freely fyi most people hate drake and lil Wayne the only reason you think they have a big followers is because 80% of the population is d!ck riders they just want to fit in.

drake and lil wayne sell the most records. they sell out the most arenas. their music is played almost every minute on every radio station. sorry but ALL MEASURABLE EVIDENCE suggests that the outside world LOVES drake and wayne. a few idiots who try to convince themselves on the internet that they're not hot doesn't change that.Warriors wrote:Yes nothing screams ignorance more than some one not liking drake, lil wayne![]()

Agreed with Warriors.
On the internet people speak their mind. In real life people are limited by political correctness.

what i'm saying is the echo chamber that is the internet (maybe outside of twitter) is not a reflection of the outside world. if it was, then drake and wayne wouldn't be so rich.Warriors wrote:Sxb are you saying d!ck riders don't buy music? Totally agree with you. I used to be on similar hiphop forums when I was younger and experienced the same thing. Most people on somalinet (I only somewhat include myself) are weird. At the very least they are not the average somali for better or for worse.
