When you can shop anywhere using zaad, why bother with debit cards when maybe only 10% of locations will actually have POS systems, if that many at all?

Well done guys, a step in the right direction. The bank's next step should be financing the projects of local entrepreneurs who could create job opportunities that is essential to the development of the country.

The 10% includes local and foreign business people who could use their cards locally and globally even when importing or exporting materials and products. Add to that list, visitors of diaspora Somalis and non-Somalis who want to use their cards without transferring funds to or opening a Zaad Account. It will also create a competition which will yield cheaper charges for their clients. It is a step forward in the right direction.
