Isis gives them the freedom to kill , rape and terrorize people without having to feel guilty on a conscious level , they tell themselves its "Allah's will", they are just deceiving themselves and are satisfying their sub conscious animal tendencies while cloaking it with an outer shell of "Righteousness". If they were not Isis members they would've found something else to release the animal inside of them e.g crime and tribalism.

Extreme Ideologies whether they be Salafi/wahabi Islamism ,Nazism or zionism are just a facade , an affectation used by those who have an Ulterior motive , some want to rule the world and some want to watch it burn , most youngsters joining Isis are part of the latter group.

@Games, the young men and women who joined ISIS do make up all Somali clans. As a matter fact, these kids who are joining don't know clans at tall. They were around the mosques in the West and felt they were going to help creating a Khilafa state by joining this bogus group. Of course they were duped to join in the most brutal organization that has ever existed in the Muslim world; but for these Somali youth and many other Muslims, they have no clue what they are getting to. Some of them also have criminal past and were finding life in the West too challenging due to their prior convictions.
