You're right. My uncle with a jerry curl mullet and a mustache went out there to Johannesburg in '99. He was selling televisions and peripherals. His best profits came from 100s of Sony Trinitron sets he got for cheap from a Japanese supplier. Business was booming until a few dirty Indians and one Jareer came by to extort him at first and then on a later date told him to raise his prices. He didn't comply and the jareers looted his store a month later.

But my uncle with the jerry curl mullet and stache knew what would happen. He only left 10 TVs in the store that day (which they took), the remainder of his shipment he left in a warehouse. He ordered 700 more Sony Trinitron TV sets and flooded the local TV electronics market by personally selling dozens to individuals and indirectly to small shops at bargain prices. By the time the Indians found out he was on a flight to Dubai and their cheap brand TVs were almost worthless.

Competition.

The Whites and Asians mainly live in the Western part of SA & Joburg/Durban. They work mainly in management/white collar jobs. No threat to most of the local Bantus.

The Bantus live in the Bantustans in the East and are almost exclusively lower class. The Sub-Saharans who migrate to SA settle in these Bantustans and offer to work for lower wages than the native Bantus of SA. This creates tensions ala ''DEY TOOK URR JERBS!''.

Saaxib, the word Bantu isn't derogatory at all. The same way how the word "Cushitic" isn't derogatory.
