So I'm a proud workaholic, and therefore if I'm not working, I'm spending time with my gacaliye, family and snet....

Now My little brother's friend just married a young lady from Canada and she is a little lonely, a very sweet girl (So far -phone and txts)...

My brother and his friend swapped our numbers and a brief bio on eachother lol and she called me to set up a date.

I feel like a hermit! In Toronto I had a fabulous social life and now even my brother feels bad for my reclusive behavior.

Have you ever been hooked up for a FRIEND DATE? I.e not for romantic purposes?

I must admit, I'm a tad nervous.

Nervous in meeting with the wife of your little brother's friend? Why would you be? Since you're both from Canada, I think your brother and his friend organized the meeting so you two can be friends and entertain each other. In essence, they don't want you and the other lady to be bored.

Nothing awkward about meeting the sweet girl as you've mentioned she is, enjoy your time out

I have a good friend of mine coming over in 2 weeks ..cool ass dude...just graduated from Uni wth his masters degree..he wants to clear his head before entering the work force...maybe you too will hit it off ..he'll b there for 2 months

I once got a friend's sister who came to MN from a different state, my friend lives in another state, so she called me and told me her sister was bored at their relative's house. I went to get her, showed her around and went to grab something to eat. She ended up staying with us and enjoyed the rest of her vacation. I don't know if you would call that a blind friendship date, but I didn't know her at the time and we actually became quite real good friends.


So don't be nervous evol, who knows she might end up being your bestie in Africa. And since she's also from Canada, you might have things in common with her.

lol Thanks macaaneey. Yes I was nervous, though I shouldn't have been. I have met some weird women here, so I was a little uncomfortable with the fact that she would be a judgmental hypocrite like all the rest.

She was a sweetie pie, good and thoughtful discussion, and we laughed till we cried - walahi.

We're going to the salon tomorrow so I can do my roots and she does whatever tickles her fancy.
