I heard you can't send your kids to whatever school you want as of this year in Ontario regardless of your school board. You need to attend the school that falls in the borders they created. There are people from the same neighborhood that go to different schools because they are separated by just two blocks and the border cuts in between.

You know I read an article where there is a upper middle class neighborhood like 10 minutes away from Dixon (I believe its Dixon) and the kids there have been forced to attend the school in Dixon. The rich people's school was shut down due to low enrolment. The cadaans were furious

Canada is so progressive. If it were the US they would close the school in Dixon and tell the students to enroll somewhere else. Here in Minneapolis they closed a bunch of very large schools in the north due to low performance. Mostly AA.

A group of west-end Toronto parents are rallying against a decision by the Toronto District School Board to change school boundaries

Parents received notice from Garden Avenue Public School last week that the board was considering a boundary change that would redirect their children to another school one kilometre east of their High Park neighbourhood, to Parkdale Junior and Senior Public School.

“It feels like the rug has been pulled out from under our family,” said Angela Carter, whose daughter, Willow, is in Grade 2 at Garden.

The area surrounding the school is affluent, lined with large detached homes that sell for well over $1-million. The segment of the school catchment that the TDSB has proposed to excise contains some of the only low-income housing in the area

Lol I remember two elections ago Dalton McGuinty was on TV telling voters that Ontario had the best education system in the English speaking world. It's bs though, my friend went out of province for uni and had to catch up with the rest of his peers.

AbdiJohnson, it helps the poorer families raise kids in a better environment but screws over the rich people who don't want their kids being exposed to hoodrats. Liberals only cater to immigrants and to fags as they bring in the votes

Exactly. The wealthy White parents shouldn't be forced to enroll their kids in a school filled with hood rats.

I'm all for private vouchers. The entire school system in Canada should be privatized and the Government should give vouchers to evert single student so he could attend whichever private school he wishes. I'm for free choice.

People should be able to attend whichever school they wish. The same way how you can attend any university you want too....the same should go for high schools

Of course the Canada/Western haters will rip and suggest Saudi Arabia or even Somalia offers a better education system.

Think about it this way. The conservatives have more in common with the average Somali, but they hate black people. The gay liberal is welcoming and not-racist. I will always vote liberal because at least they don't hate my guts.

Liberals are actually just as racist, if not worse, than Conservatives. Only difference is that a Conservative is open and acknowledges their racism, while a Liberal will put on a fake smile and pretend that everything is all good...

I thought Somali's just vote for the party that will safeguard their welfare cheques.
