Madhibaan Lineage

The term "Madhibaan" means peaceful. Apparently an action most Somalis lack which is why the Madhibaan/peaceful are hated. But the question is, why do most Somalis have a love and hate relationship with the Madhibaan. State department estimated 4 out of 5 of the refugees granted access in the 90s claimed to be of a Madhibaan lineage. The Madhibaan have been a scapegoat throughout the history of the Somali people for many centuries whether it was during war times or the defeat of the Portuguese. Yet they teach other to hate Madhibaans. Pls explain how his is possible?
