President John Kerry in somalia

Post by Typhoon »

The US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on an unannounced visit.
He is the first American Secretary of State to visit the city, which is recovering after years of conflict.
Mr Kerry is meeting Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for private talks.
The US backs the Somali government in its fight against Islamist militant group al-Shabab, which still controls many rural parts of southern Somalia.
I never liked obama but I always appreciated Hilary and secretary kerry

great development

notice this visit is part of his visit to kenya and djibouti so its not about "just security" rather is about bilateral relations

the somali diplomacy has been recently active so i guess this has relations-even indirectly- with saudi arabia and yemen to some point known who the gulf countries influence on the us policies like they did in egypt and iraq

the good thing is that turkey, saudi and qatar are cooperating nowadays

a plus factor could be about the government itself and its national policies
