China orders Muslim shopkeepers to sell alcohol, cigarettes, to ‘weaken’ Islam

Chinese authorities have ordered Muslim shopkeepers and restaurant owners in a village in its troubled Xinjiang region to sell alcohol and cigarettes, and promote them in “eye-catching displays,” in an attempt to undermine Islam’s hold on local residents, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported. Establishments that failed to comply were threatened with closure and their owners with prosecution.

Well, the difference between China and the West is that the West is hypocritical.

The Communist Government in China is anti religion including Buddism while in the West you have 'religious freedom' only to be subjected to ethnic and religious profiling. Even worse, incarceration without trial or due process of law because of your religious affiliation.

Geopolitically it's all about interests. China has to satisfy it's growing energy demand. I don't think the indhoyar give a fuck about basal eating Arabs.

All Muslim corner store owners sell cigarettes so I am sure you don't need to force them to sell it. They're probably just hiding it from government view to evade paying duties and taxes on it

China is a bit extreme but I like how they are strong on extremists. But they should respect the Muslim people if they are behaving
