Politics Experts come in
da fuq is this power sharing deal between SWS & JL? Damn....
-The formation of Jubbaland administration's parliament seems to be an explosive political move for its neighboring Southwestern state which accused it of violating a previous power-sharing deal by not giving equal members to the region in the new parliament.
Under the deal, the two sides agreed the allocation of parliamentary seats among stakeholders within each clan according to Somalia's power SHARINGformula called 4.5.
Despite numerous complaints from certain clans, the Kismayo-based Jubbaland administration has recently formed a parliament with the new legislators are expected to be sworn into their OFFICES this week.
Ugas Hassan Abdi, the information minister for the South-Western state has lambasted the Jubbaland administration of infringing the deal between the two regions, calling the international community to cease supporting it.
The development is threatening to set back the implementation of the COUNTRY'S federalism SYSTEM as the apparent political rivalry may deepen the country's political crisis.
No comments could be reached from Jubbaland administration on the development. The two regions are the offspring of Somalia's federalism system as the government seeks to spread it across the country, however, political analysts predict more pitfalls and clan rivalry a contest over institution-building, and may represent something of a turning
point in the federal project.

The deal was that SWS would give the Awlyahan-Ogaden good representation due to their presence in half of Bakool. And that in return Ahmed Madoobe would give D&M good representation in Jubaland.
SWS violated this agreement by giving Ogaden three parliament seats and only one minister, "boostada iyo isgarsiinta"
What a joke boostada, its 2015 everyone uses e-mail.
So Ahmed Madoobe gave D&M 10 seats in Jubaland in retaliation. The deal was violated by SWS D&M first, and Ahmed Madoobe returned the favor.
I love this new inter-federal state politicking.

The DM and their alliance in the jubbas and gedo can join the south west state using the same justification of north mudug. If no body can force north mudug people to be part of the central state the DM and dir in the jubbas have the same choice. Rules can not be relaxed for some people.

Then D&M will lose half of Bakool, degmos like Yeed, Ceel Barde anf Aato if they claim parts of J/L. They know they can't ask for one and keep the other. So far they have decided to limit their claims to the realistic three states.theyuusuf143 wrote:The DM and their alliance in the jubbas and gedo can join the south west state using the same justification of north mudug. Re: Politics Experts come in
The D&M need to be strategic and bring in the Ethiopians and play the ONLF and Kenyan Madobe against that. The D&M are semi-Oromo and should insist the other Somalis should not be allowed to force them out like the Borana. Ethiopia would be sympathetic and be warry of Ogaden ONLF too. Sakin is not smart. He needs to study the playbooks of the RRA. The D&M could be in danger unless rescued and their lands restored that was invaded by Somalis from drought stricken regions.

At least Sharif Hasan was smart enough to include the HG in his mamuul unlike Madoobe who didn't include any while lavishing seats to Northerners from Baari and Sanaag

Nothing smart about rewarding blood thirst thugs from Galgadud who have a history of putting a price tag on the Shebelle River driving the people of southwestern state to thirst for profit.AbdiWahab252 wrote:At least Sharif Hasan was smart enough to include the HG in his mamuul unlike Madoobe who didn't include any while lavishing seats to Northerners from Baari and Sanaag
AW, the next time you feel like talking about representation anywhere I'd suggest you look no further then Mogadishu. At least in Jubaland Hawiye is represented but in Banadir not one Darood in all 16 districts.
