King Mussa said he raised concern about the xenophobic attacks that Somalis and other migrants have faced in South Africa.

"He promised that he will work on changing the situation, that they will show more respect to Somali people," the Somali monarch said.

He is due to meet later today Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, who was widely accused of fuelling the anti-foreigner violence that hit South Africa last month.

He should stop dressing like a Saudi. It's embarrassing and ugly.

King Burhan is trying to stop the xenophobic attacks on Somalis in South Africa and all you can comment on is his attire. What do you want him to wear, a macawis and shirt?

"It's a historic moment for the Somalis in South Africa for the arrival of the fist Somali king to the country," Amir Sheikh, chairman of the Somali Community Board (SCOB), told Anadolu Agency.

He said the king's arrival came at the right time, when the country was facing anti-foreign sentiment.

"We will make sure the presence of the king will be beneficial to both the Somali community and their host communities," said Sheikh.

Abdurrahman Ali, a 33-year-old Somali shopkeeper, was happy with the visit of the Darood king, though he himself is not a tribe member.

"I am happy that he is here to visit us and raise some of our issues with the authorities," Ali told Anadolu Agency.

He believes it would be important if the visiting king met with the influential Zulu king, Goodwill Zwelithini, who was widely accused of making statements that triggered the recent spate of anti-immigrant attacks.

King Zwelithini has since denied making the remarks, insisting he was misquoted by the media.

"I can't wait to meet King Burhan," Mohammed Hussein, a Somali businessman, told Anadolu Agency. "We were told he would be visiting Cape Town, too."

^ Why can't you take it serious? The King met with the tribal Kings of South Africa and came to an agreement to stop the attacks against all Somalis. Where is the so called President of Somalia and why hasn't he done anything?

Waryaa, stop trolling. This is a serious subject. If I were posting about the Somaliland flag being displayed in my local library, you would be booty clapping and posting celebratory gifs, but Majerteen envy stops you praising your King who is actually doing good. Fix up.
