Aynte also stated that 80% of tahriibs were from Somaliland and Puntland.

This is what happens when you don't have a research institution of your own to push your agenda. This is also what happens when you give legitamacy to an institution by allowing it to operate in your region. HIPS is a hutu propaganda machine and should be treated as such. I am from Minnesota and I know people who knew Cabdi Caynte from university. He is a hardcore qabilist and anyone from Minneapolis knows that.

Unfortunatly dooros are naive people. He was allowed to come to Garowe and Kismayo and conduct "research". So now whatever report he produces will be seen as credible by the International community. Now we, the largest somali clan, will be regarded as a minority because we allowed a hutu research institute conduct a few meetings in Garowe and Kismayo. Lax walba meeshay is dhigto aya lagu qala.

^I don't think it's been released yet. I'll post it when it's uploaded. I've heard, according to the report, the pop estimate for JL is about 1.3 mill and about 1.9 mill for PL.

100% spot on. I can't really blame Aynte for pushing his clans agenda because I'm sure I'd do the same thing. lol The administration of PL & JL, as well as their intellectuals are at fault.

I have friends who attended UMN and told me how he was a constant face at SSA meetings in the mid-2000s even though he wasn't a student ( I think he was attending Metro State at the time). He was banned when he tried to to stir up trouble by telling the Hawiye students to overthrow the President.

According to some people, although Darood have vast lands but don't have a city over 1m then they are a minority compared to Irir clans. It's a fact that Darood is the largest Somali clan, so let them write up reports and conduct their research which state otherwise. It will not change the reality on the ground.

1.9 million for puntland sounds totally logic ileen the place is Barren dessert. Jubbaland is one of the least populated regions in somalia. Banaadir, lower shabelle and baay got the largest populations in somalia. Followed by middle shabelle and hiiraan.

No sxb. PL population is less than 1 million. Waan hubaa taas. The place is empty apart from few towns on the highway.
Jubbooyinka has way more bigger population.

As for the topic. Yeah Caynte is right. Waxa tahriibo xilligaan waa Daarood iyo Isaaq oo gaajo ka ordaayo. South-central somalia has atleast 2 times bigger population than the rest of the old Somali republic. Common sense.

1.9 mill for PL? is that including Dhulbahante and Warsengeli degaans? 1.3 for JL? is that including both of the Jubboyin and Gedo?

I honestly think Somalis as whole are laangaabs, the real number of Somalis worldwide is probably 25 million at most, about 5-6 million of them live in Kilinka 5ad, another 3 million in Kenya, 2 million abroad (North America, Europe, Asia) and the remaining 15 million are in the motherland(Somalia\Somaliland call it whatever you want)
