muqdsho has 1, 6 million. maybe if you count xamar banaankeeda places like cali yaale. ceelasha biyaha.. jaziira and gandarshe then you can have 2 million... Somaliya population is 12 milllion. since 1990 , Somalia population increased 4 million.. walaahi its time we start family planing..

Somaliya is semi desertland and the next 20 years population size will be over 20 million popuation and somaliya can't provide so hughe population. its time somalis to have max 3 children per family...

20 million in Somalia/Somaliland is sustainable. Our neighbour Ethiopia is pushing close to 90mil and they're doing just fine. Somalis need to stop concentrating the main cities (Xamar and Hargeisa) and spread out a bit more.

Side note: Togdheer has an urban pop of 480k, that's hella impressive considering Burco is the only city there

Somalia is semi desertland country whit shortage water problem.claimate changes in future somaliya will have even less rainfall. so somaliya needs small populations otherwise Somaliya will be more hell on earth where young people wanting to run away....

Desertification can be reversed and there have been efforts to do so, though it's not enough at the moment. Young people are running away for economical reasons, something that can be solved in the future inshaAllah

When the industries back home begin to expand they'll be able to sustain more people. Look at how Kenya and Ethiopia are able to sustain populations much greater than Somalia+Somaliland. You're right, the cities are getting overcrowded, especially Hargeisa, but there's also areas that are flat out empty. We need to fill those areas.
