You can do this when the prosecutor and defense attorney try to talk to you, tell them I don't care about the evidence, I am just gonna declare the guy guilty. Tell them you will not care about the evidence. After you said that, you're sure the defense attorney will oppose you and you will be dismissed from serving the jury duty in that case.

This American guy told me that is what he has done. After he insisted that he will not care about the evidence, the defense attorney vetoed him from being included in the jury  He was immediately dismissed.

I simply didn't show up. No consequences and it's been years. I was 18.

Tell them you believe in jury nullification and you place your own moral compass above the laws of the land, which, in my case, is certainly true.

You really don't want another human being's life in your hands, always avoid jury duty like the bubonic plague.

I got called twice one time I didn't even get called I wasted like 2 hours waiting for name to be called. The second time my name was called and I went in and a fellow Somali youth was the one in trouble and I told the judge I ain't with this shit and he excused me.

I got $10 for going there :pacspit:

It's hardly gonna be entirely down to you walaal, but as Ramadan is coming there's no point. Who would mind if it meant missing work?

Tell them you will be biased in favor of the accused. Tell them you strongly oppose capital punishment and incarceration of any form because it is a waste of money and tell them for that reason your verdict will be not guilty irrespective of how compelling the evidence might be. You will be let go. lol

Tell them you only recognize Sharia law, and Allah's natural order. You will not be called back, I did that in 2006, I was 19

If you don't want to serve, tell them you have been following the case through the media and formed the opinion that the person on trial is either guilty or innocent. They won't pick you.

If its a rape case, explain that you have been a victim of sexual violence in Somalia, and it would be impossible to approach the case objectively.

If its a black man, charged for murdering a white man, pull the race card. Tell them many black men are sitting in jail for crimes they didn't commit.

Do whatever in your power to demonstrate a bias towards the case.

Good luck inabtiday
