What we have learnt about Somalia in the past 24 years
1. Thousands of people die regardless of what form of government there is....Islamic, democracy, alshabab rule, warlord presidents and et..
people will die and will be displaced and raped and looted.
2. Droughts and famines continue to occur despite who the rulers are and what they follow. hundreds of thousands die of famine and sometimes due to man made droughts.
3. Foreigners come to Somalia to conduct whatever they want at will. Again it doesn't matter who is ruling..this has happened and will continue to happen.
4. Corruption continuous.
This list is for those who worry about the 2016 elections as if they will magically correct things. It doesn't matter who is elected..at the end of the day all this things will continue to happen.

1: people die every day b
2: actually before the 90s their were one drought/famine it was when that useless corrupt mj president was in charge fortunately he got assassinated
3: not true under siyaad barre regime somalia wasn't getting exploitated by foreigners unless you count leasing away ports as exploitation.
4: lets go back to dictatorship

Somalia desperately needs a hero. If there's ever a time we need an Ahmed Gurey type of leader, it's right now.

Jahligaa ogu wacan but nowadays theres some limited hope as all will follow the same constitution and institutionalized authorities across the country
The culture of warlordism is disappearing
The first thing that somalis need is to display some degree of nationalism and support their reconciliatory politicians bc their neighbouring enemies will be using them against eachother
Poverty can disappear with the political instability and we already got many major resource companies who are competing on somalia wich will also enhance the political stability in the country
it will take generations for somalis to clean up their messes

Sxb maxaad la qosleysaa?
Warlordism has been replaced by the islamic phenomena
Now what somalia needs is a mix of reconciliatary politicians/islamists and educated diaspora returnees
Yes some uk company whos backed by the norwagian companies is already operating in oil exploration, others from the US firms are displying their old license
You got turkey vs UAE
This country just needs brain

sxb what do you call the clan wars in sh. dhexe then? what do you call sna govt troops being chased around central somalia by galgaduud militias? what do you call clan wars in jubboyinka explicitly supported by the president? sxb, somalia has a long way to go before the end of the warlord era. it's still in it's prime.

We have learned that...
1. Isaq wuu is maamulikaraa.
Waxna wuu maamulikara
In la maamulona wuu ogolyahay.
2. Daarood wuu is maamulikara.
waxna wuu maamulikara.
In la maamulo se ma ogola.
3. Hawiye wax ma maamulikaro.
isna maamulikaro.
In la maamulona ma ogola.
