Its the retarded mentality that if we done screw you kiss ur ass or bow down to you we have a superiority complex that needs to be destroyed

this is simply it!

There is a fine line between self confidence and superiority complex. Most of Sneters put down other ethnicities and races just to feel good about their own. It's sad. Just look at Nomad. smh

No, we just want to be Somali.
Not an arbitrary racial classification literally based on skin hue and a shared continent, not Arab, not Chinese, and so on and so forth.

First of foremost, nobody said that they want to be African Americans, so I don't get where you get that from. Second of all, I have no problem with someone being proud of ones own heritage and ethnicity, but the problem arises when one is being extremely arrogant and put other people down because he sees himself as superior to another based on where he comes from.TheMightyNomad wrote:Its the retarded mentality that if we done screw you kiss ur ass or bow down to you we have a superiority complex that needs to be destroyed

Where did you get that paragraph from? I need source please.

no one ever put down african americans or bantus you must be an idiot to think you are superior to allahs creations. The only thing we are against is identifying with foreign labels and making Afram issues into our own. We are not them we just want to be somali.
Everyone should ignore basra she is mental herself!

Oh, boy. You better provide your sources or else I will assume it's written by another somali who suffers from superior complex.
That's what I see in this forum. Most members put down and look down upon arabs, other black people and white people. Including you. Don't let me put out the receipts for you.
We are somali, but we are also black.
What has Basra to do with this?

The book is Africa: Altered States, Ordinary Miracles
Of Richard Dowden
You could have just taken a sentence from that paragraph and searched for it on google books. This is the truth tho the guys who wrote was an ajanabi. Africans have and identity complex and we dont! Which is why they claim to black or african rather than theyre own ethnicity.
why dont you go to Asian forum and tell them they are yellow or indian forum & tell them they are brown & black? you will get the same answer and reaction.

Anyway, I just searched about him and his book. It's just a mere opinion, that's all. The guy seem to be a somali fanatic. We all know how many whites and black who are obsessed with japenese animation.

You can refuse whatever you want dear, but then you are just deluding yourself. You are black and somali.
I do actually read other types of forum where the majority of the members belong to one ethnicity. I have read discussion about race and I have never read or heard any japanese, chinese or west african say that they don't belong to a certain race and only claim to be belong to a particular ethnicity. I have never seen it.

Man how delusional the guy is not a somali fanatic the book is about african states. He listed many countries in africa & put out a short description or a short synopsis. You didnt even search for the book!Robotic wrote:TheMightyNomad wrote:We are not black i refuse to accept that! i am simply somaliRobotic wrote:Nomad:

Are you stupid there is not an Asian alive who calls himself yellow nor is theyre an indian who calls himself brown. Yet you want somalis to go by black? Why? that is not an identity nor is it our language culture, race or anything significant! The only think this term black does is lump us up with other ethnic groups we share nothing with other than something as minute & superficial as skin hue or continent!
Dont come to us becuz we horners are an exception to that bastard continent of africa! Who til this day define themselves by how whites view them and identify with racist european made terms.
Africa is the only continent they want lump and mix up 54 countries like we are all one group of people.

He is nothing but a fanatic who is "specialized" on "African issues". It's funny that you mention that Africans identify themselves to be black based on how the white man view them, but you just valued Richard Dowden's(who is a white man if I remember correctly
) view on somalis just because it resonated with your superior complexity. Pure comedy.
We might as well ask Richard if he considers somalis to be black since you value his opinion so much?
I have never said that, what I said was that I have never seen or heard any african or asian to not claim themselves to be asian or black, with the exception of somalis like you. Go tell other people that you are not black and people will think you are crazy.
Again, I find it very ironic that you claim other black people(yes, you are black) to value white man opinion when you just did it yourself. Very ironic.
Who are they? No conspiracy theories, thanks.

Rooble: I will raise wonderful children(hopefully with an handsome and intelligent farax) who have a sense of pride(a healthy one) of where they come from. And that they know that they are BLACK.
Re: Why do people mistake self-respect with superiority complex?
Colonial powers try to make us worship them they couldn't. They tried to make us have inferiority complex they couldn't. They tried to introduce christianity to us we didn't accept it. Now Self-hating Somalis who think they been enlightened are trying to do the job for them.TheMightyNomad wrote:Its the retarded mentality that if we done screw you kiss ur ass or bow down to you we have a superiority complex that needs to be destroyed

They won't rest until we all have chip on our shoulders, become submissive and lack self-worth. They want us talking like this self-loathing author Narrudin Farah who said:
somali society is cruel ..we are very cruel to one another…we do not understand kindness to others because no-one has been kind to us. I am often kind to others because people have been kind to me. Were as many somalis life is very difficult. The family is unkind the husband is unkind the father is unkind and there for cruelty becomes the currency of exchange.
