Is the problem still around in the UK?
Why would police harass kids in that age?

Does Somali ceeb ever end?
Re: Documentary: British Somalis: A Community Under Siege
Rooble, I was referring to the police manipulating these youngsters be informers. The boys in the video are very young, and why would police manipulate with kids so young? I feel sorry for those young boys. It seems they want to rough them up, so they break down and cooperate with the police.RoobleAlWaliid wrote:Does Somali ceeb ever end?
Are there advocacy centers in UK that people can turn to when they face these issues?

no it's not it's only common in uk. we still remember Mahdi hashi who's briish citizenship was revoked and now he's in some prison in djibouti being tortured by the americans. this harassment of somali Muslims at masjids and in their homes is exclusive to the uk. things like this never happen to innocent somalis in the states or canada.RoobleAlWaliid wrote:gegiroor wrote:Rooble, I was referring to the police manipulating these youngsters be informers. I knew what you meant and it's common in America and Canada too. I have no clue about the existence of advocacy centers in UK brother as I don't live there.

You can't read, I meant and I quotegacankudhiigle wrote:no it's not it's only common in uk. we still remember Mahdi hashi who's briish citizenship was revoked and now he's in some prison in djibouti being tortured by the americans. this harassment of somali Muslims at masjids and in their homes is exclusive to the uk. things like this never happen to innocent somalis in the states or canada.
.the police manipulating these youngsters to be informers.
I'm not going to search for years old links now. This was especially the case when Al Shabaab was at it's strongest in Somalia. You think Somalis from Canada and USA get a more special treatment just , because they eat bigger fries and burgers?
Re: Documentary: British Somalis: A Community Under Siege
The British citizenship is useless and is no different than the Saudi or Qatari permanent residence. A young man refused to be an informant, and they waited for him in overseas country, revoked his citizenship, and handed him over another country to torture him.gacankudhiigle wrote:RoobleAlWaliid wrote:no it's not it's only common in uk. we still remember Mahdi hashi who's briish citizenship was revoked and now he's in some prison in djibouti being tortured by the americans. this harassment of somali Muslims at masjids and in their homes is exclusive to the uk. things like this never happen to innocent somalis in the states or canada.gegiroor wrote:

May Allah make easy for that brother and many others who are wrongly accused and imprisoned.
Amen

In MN the police loves us. You will never hear or see police officers mistreating Somalis!

Mahdi has now since confessed to terrorism charges. I'm afraid we'll never see the evidence (or lack thereof) against him.

Idman, as far as I know, MN and Vermont are two states that don't allow such intrusions.

How do you know he confessed to any thing? Even if he did, under what conditions?SaciidAyanleh wrote:Mahdi has now since confessed to terrorism charges. I'm afraid we'll never see the evidence (or lack thereof) against him.

They kept him in solitary confinement for 3 years and they didn't allow his lawyer to view all the evidence against him.
He's innocent in my opinion, until I see evidence to the contrary.

That is what I believe too. They're interrogating him without due process and claiming he confessed to some "crime"SaciidAyanleh wrote:http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 54530.htmlgegiroor wrote:How do you know he confessed to any thing?
