The Project and your input

So the project is underway and I hope within few months, we will have a modern responsive and live forum up and running. It will posses all the modern day apps, gadgets and technology. It will be the Facebook of forums.

I have not come up with a domain name yet. I do like some suggestions if you have any. I plan to make it for the Horn of African community where I will have different categories namely Ethiopia, Somaliland, Djibouti, Somalia, Eritrea and even Kenya (we got few Kenyans in need of a decent forum too.

Each nation will moderate its own area and abusive mods will be brought in front of a motion where users vote whether he or she losses their mod rights, a collective decision or consensus.

FEATURES: profile, mention, like/unlike, follow, email updates of the top topics, quote, icons/profile pics, very fast and responsive, very minimal PhP (less pressure on servers), etc etc...almost like Facebook. Complete privacy, you can be online or hide, you can ignore conversation/users, bookmarks etc.

Certain topics can get many likes and those can be high ranking topics like social media of today. We are talking to you social media people. You deserve better.

I'm posting this in Somaliland section because I understand ya'll better (not really but...yea)

All users will be treated equal with dignity and respect. All are entitled to their own opinions. I will not tolerate religion intolerance as my users will be very diverse thus its important to respect religion #1...all the other shyt is open for attacks For me religion tolerance is not only an obligation but personal character. Having grown up in Ethiopia I had friends from all faiths and we sang, played, ate and shared everything. The Christians celebrated their new years and they used to collect money, toys, candies and all kinds of things from the local shops. They then shared with us. We did the same with them when it was our Eid. For someone even to this day the Tewahedo (Orthodox) friends of mine get along better with us Muslims than they do with Pente folks (Evangelicals) or Protestants. It is an interesting dynamic so the reality is far from what media or others like to project. And before Islam our ancestors were Waaqist so again Waaqist Boranas, I can relate to them. Only God can judge.

Good healthy debates and good Horn community is what I am all about. I will not permit Somalia's regional states next to Somaliland.

My project is in great progress and I'm putting final touches together in order to make the experience pleasant and professional for my users. You wouldn't be here sweating with envy and jealousy if it was a failure like ONLF, who failed to gain a single village in 200 years.
