Put down the hilib ari and hit the gym.

But seriously, do cardio, sit ups and watch what you eat. Drink plenty of water. And don't eat carbs after 5 pm.

Good luck..

Hi huuno, I've been struggling with reducing my calool for some time now. Best advice I ever got was that when it comes to losing belly fat its 20 % exercise and 80% diet. I cut carbs, and sugar out of my diet for a month (when I was dedicated to the struggle) and I saw significant change.

You can try my method. It's not for everyone and you need to test your willpower more than anything else.

Basically no carbs (no pasta, rice, bread, etc)
No meats including hilib, fish, chicken ------markay si xuun iga qabato once a week or twice I have little dice (no fats). I use about on teaspoon of oil.

I have veggies
Shakes
No fruits
No milk

I hit the gym about five times a day, running 3km non-stop on 13 km/p speed...then later on I do time intervals...30 seconds on 17-18km/p and have 10 seconds rest. I do that five times so all together 2.5 minutes plus 50 seconds of rest. All together I do about 30-40 minutes of cardio.

I do bit of weights to keep my body in shape but nothing too serious. Not into muscular appearance...just enough to cut my form.

I do have little sugars here and there and I don't treat sugars worse than carbs because with sugars it comes in, it hits your blood and you can get rid off it as fast as it came in...sweat.

But carbs will stay in your body longer and require the body to digest. Basically I am saying I can have one bar of chocolate, hit the gym right away and its gone but carbs hell no.

It is all about disciplines, commitment. Have a routine and keeping in mind put in less take out more off ur body. I often see Somali brothers coming to gym putting an hour and going home only to kill one saxaan of baasto. What was the use?

Put in less, take out more. That's the game. Don't remember last time I had bariis or baasto and I don't miss it. I miss hilib occasionally coz u know I'm Garhajis

Give it a shot and drink a lot of water. You will go to the toilet a lot first two weeks but that's the body cleansing.

Bro! Ramadan is the perfect time. Do a cardio workout 1 hour before iftar. You'll lose a ridiculous amount of fat in a few days. I blew out my knee a few years ago and got some fat from ask the inactivity. Lost all my belly fat during like two weeks in Ramadan. Remember, just before iftar.

Post Ramadan just drink plenty of water and cut the carbs. Good luck sxb!

I had a six pack once. those days are long gone and I now have a 100 litre belly. I bought a sit up trainer. You know the lil device you put under the door but its still boxed.

Simple sit ups are probably the best exercise for belly fat

don't do any sit up or anything to do with stomach exercise.
at best you will have tick/metal like skin ontop of that fosto/barrel of belly at worst you will add more layer of fat!

are you over 30s ? it will take you months
good news it is easy!

you need to join a running club and run twice at least every week (minimum 30 minutes run)

DjibSomali is correct. Sit up or ab work will not do it. That is useful once you lose the fats for toning your body or getting abs.

Let's speak geeljire language. The belly fat is like the hump or kurus of a camel.

If you exercise and eat fats, it goes no where. Imagine a camel always in the lush Amazon jungles. It won't lose that hump ever. You need to take her to the Sahara or Kalahari desert....within weeks that stored fat will be used by the body.

The secret is to make your body attack that fat by using it as energy and the only way that can happen is to deprive it of other fats.

As it gets no fats, it will use the calool fat and before you know your own body ate itself. Really thats all it is.

That's why cutting off carbs, fats, milk and protein is good...within three weeks you will lose it if you stick to it and exercise. Don't forget shakes her in nutrients and vitamins.

Belly fat is starch, sugars and fats combined by removing carbs and fatty food you're reducing it and the body cries for fats to burn as energy and will go after the belly storage bank :)

Non-starch veggies, water, shakes...exercise = slim calool like burnt camel kurus hahahaha. Without these things wad iska daali just running around like a mice.

For shakes, I use this one: http://www.wheyless.com.au (it restores the other goods your body needs without going thru all the hardcore foods, and shakes/liquid means faster digestion).

When you become fit like Mo Farah holla back.

Don't listen to them! Fats are essential to the body and depriving ur body of essential fat does the opposite! The worst diet is a no fat diet!
Carbs are also essential to the body! You need carbs for energy and you need fats to function. Your brain is mostly made up of fat and needs more fat to function!

So ignore all the bad tips.

A good diet I should be one without gluten containing grains.
When you are eating high glycemic foods it shoots up your blood suffer very high!

High blood sugar is very dangerous and stressful for your body. Sugar is very disruptive to our hormones it will make you gain weight and also hair loss

When you are consuming high glycemic carbs like cake, doughnuts, breads, lemonade and sweets, your pancreas creates way too much insulin.

that excess body fat is caused by a sedentary lifestyle and a heavily processed food diet.

So how to combat this is by eating eating whole foods and avoiding all processed foods.

These foods would be listed as packaged sugary sweets such as Twinkies, all candy, any and all crackers, muffins, cookies, fruit juices of any kind, including orange juice, cakes, pastries, doughnuts, soda, not even diet soda, fast food, canned foods, white rice, rice cakes, white potatoes, all products containing sugar.

Pre-packaged foods includes graham crackers, low fat cookies, pre-packaged potatoes, pre-packaged rice, instant potatoes, instant oatmeal or cold cereal. Old fashioned oats are fine. White bread, white potatoes and corn are off limits.

Pre- packaged foods are processed foods and should be avoided

What you should eat is whole foods like brown rice whole wheat bread. Lots and lots of vegetables of different variates. You should eat healthy fats such as olive oil! And eat Lots of protein in the form of white meat like chicken, fish and avoid red meat like beef cow meat lamb etc.

You should avoid eating sugar! Even fruits and fruit juice should be avoided cuz it will cause inflammation and make ur body store fat as a reaction to the high insulin outburst! Processed grains have also high sugar and have high glycemic index. Rather eat whole grains vegetables, beans and protein the form of white meat!

And eat at least 4 times a day proximately every 3-4 hours. Why? Because this will increase ur metabolism, since the body will store fat as back up energy when you go long periods of not eating or replenishing ur body! It's defense reaction. So ensuring ur body receives the frequent nutrients it needs on a timely fashion will levitate that problem!

So remember to eat frequently and eat smaller portions!

Drink lots of water as well! If you follow what I said not only will you loose excess fat you will be in much better health overall.

Working out is not mandatory when you incorporate a diet like this as you will lose the stomach fat naturally although exercise will spead up the process
