Galgale have been claiming to be Majerteen since the colonial era. There is a subclan (Nuh Mohamud Saleeban) in Puntland that Galgale claim to be descendants of.

How does it make sense that Galgale were "approached by some clan" during the 80s and used in a "counterinsurgency campaign" ( ) against abgaal, but were adopted by this said clan during the 90s in a Kenyan refugee camp? So they had to kill people to prove their loyalty before being accepted as fully Majerteen? Do you ever stop and read over what you write before pressing submit?

Btw, the Galgale are not like the Gabooye. They were not shunned and were known to intermarry with their neighbors. Even in the video, Sh. Sharif states their links to the royal family of the Abgaal.

I have personally met one of them and he said to me they have been victim of the old regime........abgal were their patron clan and imam omar the then imam of mudulood had made attempts to elevate their status by allowing inter-marriage between them and abgaal and considering them as one of his "raciya" however, his attempts did not come to fruiton.....this is what sh sharif was referring to....

That's funny considering that Imam Omar's brother is Galgale. Galgale have never claimed to be natives to the Shabelle region, if that were the case then why do many claim they were "guests" of the Abgaal? You can't be a native and be a guest at the same time. After independence, many Mjs moved from Puntland to Mogadishu and came into contact with the Galgale who claimed to be Nuux Maxamuud Saleeban, a subclan that lives in Puntland. There was no political motive to their claim and it is not unusual to find lost Mjs considering that that Majerteen are a seafaring clan who traveled throughout the Indian Ocean, Gulf of Aden and Red Sea.
