In all cultures and nations and through history you will find men who married less privileged women. But why is it that NO Rich woman ever married a Poor man.

Sepcailly why has there never been rich white women married to poor black men?
asked a white friend of mine at uni and it it disturbed me when i couldnt think of one famous or rich white woman that ever married a poor black man

there are thousands of poor white women married to rich black men.

Wasn't Khadija (R.A) richer than Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) and she had many businesses going on by the time they got married?

That's right and that was a Unique marriage but The Prophet had a Reputation and was from a well known family, The Keykeepers of the Ka'bah.
I am talking about ordinary folk from poor and unprivileged background.

Speaking of that--I just read an article about Nicki Hilton wedding in London Palace. She married another really OLD money Rothschilds! She looked stunning.


Ladoon--its not about the rich woman, but her parents. They worked hard for the money so they control their daughter. But a man---a rich son--usually he can marry a poor woman because--she brings something better than money. Good looks. He is investing on her looks to have pretty babies. I say, a good business transactions. The question is-- how come men never Marry a poor ugly looking woman !Now, that's an idea for u ma ha?

I have to agree with BasRa on this one. The rich men who marries poor women, always tend to be poor but stunning women because rich men more often look for something trophy wife type of thing. Rich men hardly marry ugly poor women.
As for the rich woman, I think I might be that women always look for someone their equal and share same interests, for example same type of well paying Jobs our level of successful ness and etc.
Does that makes any sense or am I being a total fruit loop?

Basra I take your point on board but I think for most men it isn't about the physical resemblance of their offsprings but is about Kacsi. It is very hard to get an election for ugly women.
And about the rich parents controlling their daughter, I concur (that is a word you used to get organic about a while back isn't it). But how the rich women who in their own right made money, how there is not a single one who married from the less privileged?

Women~ wo-man naturally tend to favor successful men regardless of what that success is, it can be drug dealership, gang or legally successful.

Women need security and they don't see that security in poor ugly black man.

I honestly don't think I would. I reckon I'd constantly be battling with " is he just using me for my money"'thoughts, and that's not a healthy relationship
